That's a Wrap!

We ended the homeschool year with loads of FUN! I decided to end our school year about mid-May so I could spend a few extra days playing with Kason and Zoe before Max got out of school for summer.
We of course spent loads of hours outside squeezing in school...
and working on our mini-urban homestead.
Kason and Zoe take after their dad having a green thumb. They love helping him water and garden. Inside the house, we've been working on homemade goodies like butter...
freshly squeezed and pureed strawberry lemonade...
Daniel even made us homemade summer sausage, breakfast sausage, and beef jerky...yum!
We of course throw in arts and crafts whenever possible!
When the pool opened and the water warmed up a bit, we hit the pool several days before picking up Max.
We took a few field trips. I snagged a couple extra cuties one day to give their momma a break and I took them hiking around McKinney Falls.
I also grabbed our neighbor, Rebekah, and took her with us to one of our ATX bucket list items, the hill country favorite: Hamilton Pool. It was absolutely beautiful and incredibly unique!
I'm so thankful for this special transition year with Kason and Zoe. It's been amazing to explore our city, explore education, and explore our relationships this school year! This cutie patootie...
ended the year on a good note. He had an awesome year of growth and are so thankful that we had Ms. Folz love and challenge him.
Seriously, isn't that the most precious Mother's Day gift from Max? I had to throw that in there because I've been so proud of his accomplishments and communication lately.
Alas, the school year has come to an end and we have all been itching for summer. Bring on those vacations and lazy days around the house!
