This winter Kason finally gave in to his desire to play basketball. He has been wanting to play for two years now, but nerves and anxiety have always gotten the best of him. This year, he was ready to take the plunge...and boy was it worth it, he fell in love! It would always take Kason about one quarter to get his head into the game, but after that...bam! He was ready. Defense was by far his strongest side and I was so proud of him as aggressiveness started to come out. Guys, he did so good! Gosh, Daniel and I are so unbelievably proud of this guy. He worked so hard this season even off the court at home practicing his ball handling skills. Kason grew by leaps and bound in just a few short months.
Mimi and Doc were able to come cheer him on one game. Pops was able to make it too! Kason loved basketball so much and even asked if he could play summer ball!! I'm so thankful that he had an awesome coach who was super patient and worked well with Kason. I'm also super thankful for Daniel who worked with him at the house several times a week and coached him on the sidelines a bit to help him stay focused. I'm already looking forward to him playing again this summer...especially since Daniel is coaching his team!!
