Road Trippin' Towards Magic...

Mimi, Aunt Shaye, and I have been dreaming, talking, & planning a trip to Disneyworld for a couple of years...so Daniel and I were thrilled when the day came to finally go! Mimi and Doc were beyond sweet to treat us to the trip, we just needed to get ourselves there. Daniel and I decided it would be fun to road trip to Florida, so we sent Max to fly with them while the rest of us took an adventure.
If you can't tell, we were just a tiny bit excited!!
Kason was super pumped too, he just banged up his mouth the night before we left so smiling was a bit difficult. These munchkins of ours are incredible little travelers. We got up really early on Saturday morning to hit the road so we could spend the afternoon/evening in New Orleans for an overnight pit stop.
New Orleans is intriguing to me because the feel of the town and culture is so different from other places in the US. I remember going there a couple of times as a kid and I was excited to show the kids row houses and above ground cemeteries and of course the French Quarter. Since the French Quarter isn't really a place for little ones, we made sure to go there right away that afternoon so we wouldn't be out late. The kids enjoyed walking around the French Quarter...we tried Alligator, ate seafood, experienced street music...
and of course had to make a stop at Cafe Dumond!
Beignets were definitely a hit with all of us :)! Sunday morning we began the rest of the drive to Florida. I love taking road trips to see the changes from state to state. Our good friend from college, Tanner Fain, is stationed in Navarro, Florida so we stopped in to see him and his wife Ann and meet their newest addition Tatum!
Where they live is gorgeous and we wish we could have stayed longer catching up. That night when we finally rolled into Orlando, we immediately met the crew for dinner at Disney Springs.
These precious cousins were a little excited to not only see each other...
but were anxious to spend the week together!
When we got to our hotel and unpacked, these rascals got their bands ready for the week. Disney was absolutely magical and we had an incredible time there. Since each day was so full of fun, I'll be posting each day individually with picture overload :)!
