Summer Adventures #weekone

What better way to kick off summer than to spend a week with your cousins?!? That's right, I loaded up my crew and headed to Aunt Shaye's house for our first official week of summer adventures. Each year when we do this, our hubbies are away, so its just us sisters and cousins who play :)! For this momma, well I could hardly wait to spend several days with one of my best friends and love on two of my favorite little ladies! My kids love going to Sadie & Sophie's house because they think it's vacation...I mean, "mom...they have a pool and a movie theater in their house" (kason)...haha! So, our main goal for the week of cousin chaos was to play, swim, and soak up each other's company...
and it was a success! Let's just say we spent a ton of hours in the pool...
these little fish couldn't get enough!
Kason especially loves their grotto because it is perfect for cannon balls...
Max loves their tanning ledge because while it's shallow, there is enough water to still splash around in...
and little lady was just all over the place kicking those little legs of hers!
I was thrilled one day because my sweet friend Joni brought her little rascals over to join us! I love that girl so much and it was great to visit face to face rather than through text...it did my heart good :).
Of course if you remember, Kason just knows that he will marry Miss Addie one day...
these two buddies are absolutely precious together and I'm glad they continue to share a friendship.
Swimming was definitely a highlight of our week with cousins, so much so that these munchkins even jumped in for a quick splash before we headed home Friday morning! We actually spent the majority of our time at their home which was very relaxing. The kids love to play together even though they sometimes end up squabbling like siblings...ha! They enjoyed playing games together...
got cozy in the theater room to watch a movie...
I even had a chance to snuggle up with all the balls of chaos one afternoon...
let's just say I was definitely in my happy place :). Since we are movie junkies apparently, we did venture out to the Summer Movie Club at Cinemark to see Paddington Bear...
Aunt Shaye and I had one major surprise tucked up our sleeve and that was....
Legoland!!! My kiddos love, love legos so I was super excited to take them. There were rides...
areas for building and exploring...
Kason's Star Wars loving self was geeked up over their Star Wars Exhibit...
If you haven't ever visited Legoland, then you should know everything is built out of legos! The picture above, displays...
decorations...
everything! There was even a 4D lego movie we experienced...
From the oldest to the youngest...
these cuties all had a fabulous time. Of course we were all sad our time had to come to an end, but when Uncle Bryan got home Thursday evening we all headed to one final treat...
in true Aunt Shaye fashion...
Bahama Bucks!!! Thank you, thank  you Aunt Shaye, Sadie, & Sophie for letting us come crash your pad for the week. We went home with joyous hearts and smiles beaming after some much needed cousin love!

  1. I'm just appreciative you took the time to drive up here with the kids. We love spending time with all of you - that's why I'm convinced we will live close to each other one of these days :)
