back TWO school...

Can you believe it? Not only is little man headed back to his preschool, but he is joined by little lady this year! Last Thursday night, both munchkins were able to meet their teachers and check out their classrooms for the year...
Both Zoe and Kason were super excited to explore their new rooms...so much so that Zoe was jumping out of my arms to check out her chair that night. Yesterday was the big "First Day of School" so we celebrated with our annual breakfast which Kason requested homemade cinnamon rolls this year...
All of our kids don't get up until around 8:00, so Daniel and I weren't quite sure how they would handle us waking them up a bit earlier. Have no fear, both were too excited to care...

While Kason enjoys going to school, he usually gets anxiety and ends up being shy...but I must confess that this was the best first day we have had so far! He is super pumped to be in Pre-K...you know the big guys on campus :)! He has been begging me to go to big school and I keep telling him he will be starting Kinder before he knows it, even though he already looks the part.
I'm actually teaching a 3 year old class this year at Superkids (which I'm pretty excited about myself) and it was loads of fun for me yesterday to see both munchkins at chapel and randomly throughout my day...what a treat for all of us! After school, we took the kids for our annual first day after school ice cream run...
This was Zoe's first time with ice cream and she didn't disappoint...oh no...I couldn't shovel the frozen yogurt in fast enough!
After dinner, both babies went right to bed since Max has been sick and Zoe didn't sleep a wink at school all day...the little social thing was too busy checking out all the other kiddos :). Therefore, it left Daniel and I time to spend some two-on-one with Kason and surprise, surprise...
he learned something new last night. No training wheels!!! What a great way to end such a fabulous day! I love getting back into the swing of things, moving from lazy summer days to a more structured schedule...which also means cool weather, fall days, and holidays are quickly approaching!

  1. Looks like all 3 of you did pretty good for your first week back at school. I can't wait for Sadie to start next week! You are giving me inspiration about the ice cream date after school - maybe in our case we can do a Bahama Buck since that's right by the house & Sadie can't have dairy!
