Kicking off the Wreck 'Em Tech Season...

The Clayton Crew loves us some college football season...especially when our Red Raiders play! A little sad to say that this is our first year without season tickets, but with three little rascals around, it was getting harder to go to all the games. Therefore, we had our own at home tailgate for our first game on Friday night. You may be asking yourself, what does it look like to watch your beloved team on a Friday night with three kids and no screaming fans around? Well, it was definitely different than the energy of a stadium crowded with fans, but it was actually a fun, relaxing evening with a completely different sort of energy :). We met up at our tailgate for kick off and enjoyed sliders with white queso and football brownies (Kason's idea, he even helped me make them) for dessert...
Followed by a mixture of cheering on the raiders by yelling "Raider Power" back and forth with Kason, smiling as we watched Max crawl around playing with toys while giggling...
and watched our little cheerleader, aka Miss Sassy Pants, get into everything :).
At half time, dad was even a good sport and painted football pictures per Kason's request. Kason worked on his Texas Tech pic while he asked dad to make him a Texas Cowboys pic...yes, he not only loves football, but he seems to be only a Texas sports fan :).
We may not have the most crazy tailgating stories...
but we do have a whole lot of crazy Tech football spirit at home with our little players that pack a whole lot of fun!

  1. I am so glad their outfits fit - they look so cute! We missed the first home game last weekend while we were on vacation but I made sure that Sadie wore her cheer leading uniform! Unfortunately none of the grandparents took a picture of her so I'll have to dress her up again this weekend :)
