Our Love Bug's 1st Birthday Party...

Since family was in town for Kason's birthday, Daniel and I decided to throw a meet and greet for Max. With him being home bound, several of our friends and family have not met him, so we thought this was a great way to show our little love bug off!!!
When the guests arrived, they had to douse their hands with sanitizer after signing the book...
They were treated to a cupcake bar with various icing and topping choices...
a seriously delicious cookie bar with 10 different types of homemade cookies...
and sweet treats bar full of sugar...
of course who can go without a little milk with their cookies or punch with cupcakes...
Since we call Mr. Max love bug all the time, I couldn't pass up the chance to throw him a bug party equipped with all the needed essentials...
I also couldn't leave out the little buggers...
you know how important it is to protect their eyes from the sun with all the bug hunting going on...
The party was a success and quite fun to add a little cheer...
as we celebrate how far Max has come and the way he has wiggled into our hearts...
Daniel and I felt extremely blessed to have an amazing turn out of friends and family...around 75 people. With all the excitement, I forgot to get pictures with our families...the same thing happened at Kason's 1st birthday! At least I was able to get one of our favorite NICU nurse Lin along with our sweet friend Jeannette who helped deliver both Kason and Max...
Max even had surprise visitors (close family friends) all the way from my hometown, Jimmy and Sharon Bruce...
As you can see, we had Max hang out in his nap nanny while everyone met him so few amounts of germs would find him. He did incredibly well and played throughout most of the party until the very end...
he finally gave into a long snooze! You maybe wondering if this means that Max is free to roam around now and sadly the answer is no. He will continue to be home bound for quite awhile, but Daniel and I have decided to start taking him to church service only just so we can have some out of the house family time together :)!
As for this little love bug, we are going to continue to be extra cautious with him since he still isn't out of the clearing of being medically fragile. We don't mind as long as he keeps wiggling to the Clayton Crew beat!

  1. I am so sad that I couldn't come! Those cupcakes and cookies looked delicious! ...oh, and Max looked adorable, as usual. ;-)
You are an exceptional party planner, Natalie!
Plan my wedding? If I ever have one, that is... lol
