Kason and Addy have been exploring their 5 senses this week. We have spent a ton of time outside because not only is it fantastic weather, but it is a great place to discover our senses. Our home is near a busy road and a fire station, so we had a great time listening to the cars. We would play a game to figure out what type of car was driving by...a fire truck, ambulance, or Kason's favorite, a motorcycle. Kason and Addy also loved listening to the birds chirping. I attempted to play I-Spy with them...that may take a few more times to catch on! Daniel just planted flowers outside, so we enjoyed "sniffing" them (their words). Our cooking activity this week was making Rice Krispie Treats...
I thought it was a great texture for them to touch and help press down the yummy treat into the pan. They didn't quite know what to think about the stickiness of the marshmallows and we even had a little panic attack at one point! Of course my little pig finally started eating it off of his hands when he realized it was scrumptious and there was no need to panic...he then proceeded to lick the bowl clean...yep, he is definitely a Clayton! Today, Kason and Addy painted in the bath tub...
which they loved...who wouldn't, right?...Any chance to get messy!
A lot of giggles and squiggles were taking place!
By the end of our "painting session" the entire tub (and some walls) were covered along with two wiggling toddlers! When it came time to clean up, I think they had just as much fun filling up their bowls with water and dumping it around the tub and on themselves. Tune in next week as we begin to practice our ABC's!
