A Free Man...

Max was taken off the ventilator today and is so doing well so far! He responded amazingly to the steroids which we can't stop thanking God for. It is really sad when he tries to cry because he is hoarse due to the tube being in his throat for so long, but it is still adorable to hear his rough little noises that he makes! He has these precious chipmunk cheeks and a tiny double chin that make me laugh. Apparently these chubby, kissable cheeks are common on preemies that are born tiny because when they start to gain weight they store all their fat in their cheeks!

I love it! The challenge now is for Max to be able to breathe well with just the nasal canula once he gets off the steroids which won't be for a few days. I will keep you posted as to how he is holding up...thanks again for your prayers!!! This little guy is soakin' them up!
