Two Stepping...

So just when we think that Max is taking a step forward, he seems to surprise Daniel and me by taking two steps backward. Max has been struggling lately because his PDA (heart valve) that had closed due to medicine, reopened last week. This afternoon he had surgery to close the PDA and it was a success!!! The doctor and nurses told us that it will be several days before we see an improvement simply because of him recovering from surgery, but we are very hopeful that Max will be two stepping forward, not backward real soon! Meanwhile, my body decided to do a little dance as well when I was taken to the emergency room Sunday night for chest pain. I was put back in the hospital because I developed a blood clot in my lung. I get to keep partying in the hospital until Friday unfortunately, but that isn't even the worst part. I am on complete bed rest and haven't been able to see Max...not even before his surgery! You mommas out there know what a miserable feeling it is to not see your little peanut before they have a major surgery...really any time they are sick. Therefore, our amazing NICU nurse sent me the following delivery...

which of course brought a smile to my face! I have been promised that I will be stable enough tomorrow to go see one of my favorite guys! Thank you again for all the prayers for Max and I will continue to update everyone as he gets stronger and keeps on dancing with us!
