Hippity Hoppity Hooray!

Easter is always a beautiful fun time around our home. It's beautiful because we spend a week or two talking about the true meaning. This year we did something different by using resurrection eggs to remind ourselves the story of Jesus...
Zoe flipped over these eggs! She absolutely loved opening to see what was inside and playing with the little trinket while talking about what Easter means. Before school let out for Max, these little bunnies hopped into his class to bring his teachers a special treat...
It was their idea to wear the ears and I thought it was precious! Our Easter weekend was a bit busier than normal this year. Westover South partnered with two churches that weekend. On Saturday, we partnered with Surnrise church to do a community Easter extravaganza...so my little bunnies were ready for some fun!
This party was legit :)...I'm talking bounce houses, snow cones, hot dogs, barrel rides, egg hunts, face painting, limbo, petting zoo, and friends galore!
Daniel was gone for most of the day serving, so after we headed to our neighborhood egg hunt with more snow cones. Oh yes friends, the sugar rush was high that day!
Ariel came over after, so we died eggs using the rice method.
Super easy, low mess, and they turned out adorable.
Of course we can't enjoy Easter without confetti eggs!!
To say Max loved the confetti eggs is a huge understatement :)...
Max loves the outdoors, so we hung out in the backyard before Dad was able to stop by for a couple hours.
Easter was another busy day for us as we partnered with Travis Heights for worship and lunch. The grandparents sent our little bunnies treats in the mail, so they were bursting at the seems to finally see their goods!
The kids picked out their own clothes this year for Easter which was pretty fun. Girlfriend even got ready all by herself!
Kason wanted to match Max, so he was excited when he found them matching bike shirts...
I adore their little friendship. We had a great day worshipping together, serving lunch to the community...
and snagging a few more Easter eggs. Each year I love being reminded of the hope that abounds due to an empty tomb! I'm so thankful for the time to pour into my kids about the life of Jesus and what it means to find hope in our Savior.
