NASA Field Trip...

A few weeks ago we finished up our solar system unit, so I took the kids to NASA on a field trip. With it being in Houston, my mom was able to meet us there for a day of educational fun! Kason absolutely loved exploring NASA and learning all about their facility, past missions, and their training center.
The room above was the real control mission room for the Apollo missions. The pictures below are from the training center where Astronauts prepare for a mission...one of our favorite stops!
Below is an actual rocket we were able to walk around. It was pretty phenomenal to see how huge it was!
It was fun to see the kids see items in real life that we have read about, looked at pictures, and watched videos over!
We even got to touch a moon rock!
Kason was excited to pose in front of his favorite exhibits :).
There was a kid area for them to explore and they were thrilled playing around!
I highly recommend going to NASA! We all had so much fun learning and exploring astronauts and space missions.
