The Happiest Place on Earth...

Tuesday brought a very much anticipated big day...Disneyland! We got up early and were at the park right when it opened ready for the magic to begin!
No one in our group had ever been to Disneyland before, so we were all a little excited for an adventurous day!
We immediately went to visit the princesses before any crowds. Plus, I could hardly wait for little lady to meet a few of her favorites for the first time...eeek!
She was a little shy and timid, but still very excited :).
I was beaming with joy when she had the opportunity to meet her hands down favorite princess...
 Cinderella!
We stayed a good portion of our morning in Fantasyland because it was targeted for younger kids with no real roller coasters which was perfect for Max, Sophie, and Zoe. Our first ride was a Dodson tradition at Disneyworld...
 the Carousel!
Max was able to have a special wait time where we could come back with him rather than him standing in line, so he ended up riding the carousel over and over...
I'm not sure if you can tell just how relaxed this kid was...he loved it. His other favorite ride that he rode SEVERAL times was dumbo!
He called this the "weeee" ride and didn't want to get off of it.
We found out right away that Max loved the outdoor rides that spin and were in sunlight...
like the Mad Hatter Teacups. The indoor rides that were dark were very scary and created a lot of anxiety for Max in which he cried the entire time. Little lady...
enjoyed all the rides in Fantasyland...they were right up her ally.
 These two cuties...
were all about the big roller coasters with their no fear self, so they had a difficult time being patient during the morning. No worries though, the rest of the day was all theirs :). After Fantasyland, we wondered over to Mickey's Toontown.
This was the part of the park I was uber excited for Max to visit so he could go through Mickey Mouse's house and to meet him up close and personally. For those of you who don't know, Mickey Mouse is literally the only movie/tv show that Max will watch. He calls it "moobie" and jumps up and down (well his version of bouncing at least). We actually had several minutes to spend with Mickey and Max was enthralled by him...
I wish I had better pictures to capture how excited Max really was. He kept looking at him, trying to grab his nose, and then smiling real big. {It was really hot that day, so please excuse my tomato face!}
While a few of us were with Max and Sophie, the rest of our gang took Zoe on her first roller coaster...
Let's just say that adorable smile didn't stay on her face very long. Daniel may or may not have traumatized her!
She cried a little during the ride because she was scared, but by the time she got off and started playing again, she was good to go. After lunch in Toontown, we decided to move to the rest of the park that was targeted for more thrill seekers like this Roller Coaster Club of two...ha!
There were actually several rides throughout the park the entire group was able to go on like Nemo's Submarine...
Then we hit up Kason's special area of the park...Star Wars!
I actually tried to snag him a spot in Jedi training that day, but due to miscommunication from the park we missed the sign up. It turned out alright though, this guy still had a blast during the Star Tour simulation ride!
After exploring the three top areas of the park on my wish list, we just kind of hit up whatever looked like fun. The Roller Coaster Club finally got to get their adrenaline junky selves on a few roller coasters while us adults turned into giggly little kids again...ha!
My mom and I had a plan in place for Max because I honestly didn't think he would make it passed 5:00 or 6:00, but who knew this kid would still be smiling after that time rolled around!
I can't even begin to share how proud I was of all our kiddos and the troopers they were that day. As night drew near, we kept those rides a going!
One of my favorite parts of the day was that we all took turns switching riders with the kids. I loved snuggling up to my adorable nieces too :). Eventually, the youngest kids started dropping off...
thankfully we had strollers to keep them contained because us big kids still had the main attraction, Space Mountain to ride at 9:30 (thanks to the fast pass that booked us out late). Let me tell you, it was definitely worth the wait...so fun! Our last stop for the night was the Light Parade. We were able to snag a spot close to the entrance so we would have an easy get away, then hit up a couple stores for a treat while we waited...
The music was loud and the party was rocking, I was so sad Zoe snoozed through the whole thing because she would have loved it...
but this party animal woke up before it started and rocked out!!!
Max LOVED the lights and loud music and just danced away...it was precious! Disney's Light Parade was phenomenal and definitely a fabulous way to end this memorable day...
I still have a hard time believing that this crew opened the park at 8:00 am and closed it at 11:00 pm...that's 15 hours friends!
Disneyland didn't disappoint and truly lived up to its reputation of being the happiest place on Earth. My three little rugrats had the absolute best day and I loved being able to create so many magical moments with our family. As our pal Mickey would say, "We had a hot diggity dog day!"
