Summer Adventures #weeksix

Week six of our summer fun adventures finally brought us a full week at home, which this family loves...we may have a few home bodies on our hands :). Kason actually spent the week at Mimi and Doc's for golf camp and while he had a blast, we missed him greatly. But, not having big brother around allowed little lady to have a load of mommy/daughter fun. So let's see how this week unfolded...

Monday:
My brown eyed girl adores all things girly, especially makeup and hair! I always let this girl do her thing and work her magic...
The picture isn't very good, but wow did I have on some heavy eye shadow and gold glitter :). Let's just say that gold glitter hung around for a few days because I couldn't clean it off for anything, ha! Zoe's birthday party happened over the weekend, so she could hardly wait to try out a couple of her new gifts...
cupcake play dough kit and princess cupcake game...
Zoe was missing Kason that night, so we made a special tent palette on the floor for a stuffed animal sleepover...

Tuesday:
I splurged and took Zoe to Alamo Drafthouse $1 Summer Club to watch Minions...
I'm that mom in the summer who pays the $1 for a movie, but brings our own popcorn and drinks. Well, Alamo Drafthouse serves a meal during the movie and I let Zoe pick out her own meal and she thought it was so cool to eat while watching a movie.
The evening held a slight breeze on Tuesday, so we got outdoors for some bubble and chalk fun that Zoe always begs for...
I had picked up this really cool paint chalk back in the spring for the kids and it was so neat. We painted words and pictures together and it immediately dried as chalk!
Oh yes friends, it's the little things in life that bring us delight :). We did swing by 7-11 for their free slurpie and enjoyed finding stars together...

Wednesday:
Zoe has been asking me non-stop for a tea party. She actually has tea parties quite often, but they are low key in her room. Since we were having a girlfriend week, I decided we should go all out. We baked special cookies using our cookie press, Zoe got to rummage through my craft/party closet to pick out her decorations and set the table, we made koolade, we both put dresses on, and invited all her special friends to join us...
This princess was insanely excited about her big girl tea party!
She even had to teach me how to twirl before we got started ;). Zoe only is allowed to use water for her tea parties, so using pink koolade was a thrill! Of course, it required a bit more finesse...
This silly girl has stolen my heart for sure...love her! After our tea party, she moved all her friends to the living room for a viewing of Frozen...
That evening I played beauty shop with Zoe and braided her hair like she loves...

Thursday:
No activities really happened on Thursday...this day was just filled with free play, chores, therapy, and driving to pick up Kason. You may be wondering where our other little cutie was all week...
This poor guy had a rough week again. While he started feeling better over the weekend, he ended up spiking fever up to 103.6 and hoover around 102 with medicine for a few days and just didn't feel 100%.
He spent loads of time in his bed sleeping and trying to recover, or snuggling on my lap. Our pedi thought we should take him back to ER, but we decided to wait him out since he wasn't really having any other symptoms. Thankfully by Friday, he started making a turn for the better.

Kason at Golf Camp:
Kason gets to choose one camp each summer to participate in. This year he chose golf camp at my dad's country club in Conroe. He had an extra special treat of spending the whole week at grandparent's house all by himself! This guy had a fantastic time at camp and is already making plans for next year :).

Weekend:
Max had a nurse on Friday, so we met up with friends at the Dinosaur Dig Park for the morning followed by a lazy day at the house finally all together at home. On Saturday, we had to be out of the house for a bit, so we took the kids to a graffiti park in Austin which was super cool...
Kason especially enjoyed this area of Austin and I promised we would go back with better shoes on so he can climbed all over and explore more.

As you can tell, this summer has been busy {much busier than I ever imagined} but this Clayton Crew is having a fabulous time!
