...and now we have a KINDERGARTNER!!!

Eeek...Max had his last day of ELE yesterday and is now officially a kindergarten student!!!
This kid loves him some school, so I know it will take him a bit to adjust to the lazy summer schedule. We were so sad to say goodbye to the incredible staff at Giddens yesterday. Ms. Shea, Ms. Renee, and Ms. Scarlett are amazing...
Max had the privilege of being in this room for two years. In those years these ladies have loved him like their own, challenged him to reach new goals, and just had fun learning together! Max is also going to miss his little friends...
Everyday when we pulled into the front parking lot of the school Max would get excited, then after waiting a few minutes when he heard the bus pull up he would start rocking...because that meant his buddies were there!
Another special lady at school is Ms. Sonia. Every morning when Max arrives, he has to wheel through the office to see the secretary Ms. Ann and the registrar Ms. Sonia. These ladies share their keys with him and it just makes Max's day!
Max just adores Ms. Sonia and even has to say goodbye to her before he leaves every.single.day. Precious! She kept joking that the front office staff isn't going to know how to properly welcome Max  next year and for some reason the school won't let her come say good morning every day :). Therefore, she had a special treat for Max before we left yesterday....
all things Max...wind chimes to make music, a spinning pinwheel, and keys! I'm telling you...awesome staff that we adore and will miss greatly! {FYI...Giddens doesn't offer the special education route Max requires, so he is switching schools.} For Max's end of the school year celebration, his big brother had a sleepover in his bed...
Let's just say that they had a difficult time falling asleep because Max was beyond pumped about this! He kept laughing and tickling Kason before passing out...then woke up to start tickling him again and laughing hysterically :). Oh, these two! While starting over with a new staff to become familiar with on both ends isn't the easiest, this family is excited for Max's new adventure in life skills starting in August! This little fella is going places and we can hardly wait to shadow him with a smile.
