Since today was the last day of spring break and the first day of Max's new nursing hours, this crew decided that the gorgeous sunshine called for a catch and release day on the river...
Daniel found out about this spot close to home and it was absolutely beautiful! It may be my favorite slice of heaven we have found around here.
Zoe and Kason are in their happy place whenever we are in the great outdoors. Especially when they have room to run around, hike a little, play with sticks (a personal favorite), and do a little fishing...
Kason is a natural at fishing...his cast is actually pretty impressive. Daniel is already teaching him the ropes and how to take care of his own fishing equipment...
As for little lady, well she could hardly contain her excitement. The more I learn about her, the more I see a tomboy streak in her. This girl is my twirl dress wearin', barefoot lovin', crazy haired free spirit...but nothing stands in the way of her love of getting dirty and mischief making in nature.
In fact, she was obsessed with the minnows...
all squeals and wiggles catching and releasing them!
She also was super proud of herself that she got to go tinkle in the "woods" for her very first time. She pretty much thought that was the most awesome thing ever...haha!
This hook, line, sinker of a day was almost perfect...we were just missing our other favorite little fella! Just so you know, if you ever can't get ahold of us, you can probably find this crew playing alongside this beauty of a river!
