Jog a Fun Jingle Bell Run...

Every year Brentwood Christian organizes their big fundraising event as a jog a fun where they gather sponsors to donate money for each lap the kids run. This year, they decided to do a twist and add a Christmas spin to it. Several people were dressed up in holiday gear, the kids all wore jingle bells, the DJ was spinning Christmas music while the kids ran...it was so much fun! Kason's first grade class was one of the first to participate that morning...
so our family headed out to cheer on our favorite Brentwood Bear and his friends!
It was a bit cold, but these two cheerleaders braved the weather for their favorite big brother...
Each elementary and middle school grade runs for 30 minutes each while the high school participates in a 5K color run. Kason and his buddies fell into more of a run/walk pattern...
until Daddy got out there and joined them! These pictures make me giggle...
Did you notice that their cadence and running posture is the exact same?!? These were all taken on different laps and their body positions are almost identical...yep...like father, like son! Zoe got a bit jealous, so she decided to join in the running fun. She must have gotten scared by the mass of people because towards the end she was a bit panicked...
All the kids did an awesome job and gave it their all! They were rewarded at the end with snacks, hot chocolate, and bouncy houses...yippee!
So thankful for this school community Kason is blessed to be a part of. In fact, how cool is it that the very next day this goofy class got to go cut down their own tree at a Christmas tree farm for another field trip?!? They are spending next week making ornaments and decorating it. Loving the spirit of Christmas that is in the air!
