Maddux Family Christmas 2014!!!

This year we spent Christmas with my family at Mimi and Doc's house with Aunt Shaye, Uncle Bryan, and the girls.
It was relaxing in that we had no plans, but also a little zany thanks to the cousins running around yelling with excitement :).
The guys got to sneak away one day to hit a few rounds...
While the girls got Jamberry nail manicures as their special treat!
Mimi did Zoe's while I did Sadie's and I have to confess that I had soooo much fun!
And I think we were all a little proud :).
My mom cleaned up our old doll house and had it sitting out this year. The girls were a little too young still even though they were all giggles around it...
Kason was the most enthralled. He played with it the most and thought it was so cool. Mr. Max always enjoys hanging out at Mimi and Doc's because their living/kitchen area is open and large, so he has room to explore...
and just play, play, play. As for Christmas morning...
as usual, Santa came through big time and spoiled our little rascals!
The girls shared a bed and woke up first squealing away, but Daniel had to wake up Kason...it took him a bit to get as excited...oh, but he got there!
I always love to journal what gifts they get each year since we only do 3 as a family. Kason's want gift (Santa) was real basketball shoes, but the jolly old man also threw in some tall under armour socks (which he's been hoping for) and a basketball. His need gift was cycling shorts (oh yes, spandex and all!) and the kids family gift (for all three) was an art easel for all of our projects. As for Mr. Max...
well he racked in his favorite this year, Mickey Mouse! His want (Santa) was a Mickey Mouse pop-up cause/effect toy while his need gift was a new toy for his carseat and wheelchair...
Little lady scored on a new bike thanks to Santa (want)!
Kason got a bike at 2 years, so it was only fitting that Zoe follow in his footsteps :).
Her need gift was a helmet to keep that pretty little noggin safe! Of course all the grandkids were spoiled rotten...
and loved getting similar gifts...
what cousins don't want to match, right?!? One of my favorite memories was watching Kason pass out his gifts to everyone...
He was soooo proud of what he picked out for his siblings, but even more excited for his artwork memorabilia he got for dad and his grandparents...I mean, look at that smile! Of course a big hit this Christmas was that Mimi and Doc got the kids a playhouse for our backyard...
The kids had a swing set at our last home, but this yard is too small for one. They are ecstatic to have their own playhouse now and have a place to escape too...thanks Mimi and Doc!
What joy to watch these kids play together...giggle together...even squabble together!
We have so many blessings to be thankful for this year as we gathered around the table sharing in the joy of family and our amazing God. The Clayton Crew hopes your family also had a holiday full of love and laughter!
