Off to Grandma's We Go...

When I loaded up the three little munchkins to head to Mimi and Doc's, we were also meeting up with Aunt Shaye and Cousin Sadie for a fun weekend along with Max's appointments at Texas Children's. Before the Max medical fiasco, we did have a bit of fun together! Kason loves that Sadie is now big enough to splash around with...
and play outside together...
because we all know that boy would live outside if we let him! Of course, Sadie was right there ready to hang with him anytime. Doc and I did get in a little baseball practice before all the yard work began :). As for little lady, well she enjoyed bouncing for the first time...
While we were there we visited Doc at work one day...which thrilled Kason. Doc works at a natural gas plant and had a few fun things to entice our little man...
oh-yes friends, he was in pure heaven! Since there was plenty of room everyone loaded up and headed out...
Doc gave Kason a tour of the land with one of the highlights being all the cows...
I tell Daniel all the time that Kason needs to be transplanted to a farm because he lives for the outdoors, animals, tractors, and big open fields! The other part of Doc's work that we toured were the large engines...
Kason wasn't sure what to think and seemed a bit scared of them because they are loud...he just wanted more outside time riding around in the mule. Later that evening, we celebrated Max turning two with a few family friends.
We were extremely sad Dad wasn't there to celebrate Max's birthday with us, but we couldn't pass up an opportunity to celebrate our love bug since his birthday took place while we were in Houston.
Since Max likes the simple things in life, my mom decorated with vintage toys and candy...
and served the classic fried chicken and all the fixins! Our entire family was surrounded by great company...
and I enjoyed catching up with family friends we grew up with who are practically family to us...
Since we haven't been able to travel much since Max's birth, it was fun to see everyone love on our cutie-patooties!
Max had fun playing with everyone and charmed all the ladies of course...
including me :)!
When it came time for blowing out the candle, Kason was Max's main man and helped him out...
while Sadie entertained us all by her new skills...
walking! Don't forget to notice that she already has a great eye for fashion and accessories...I mean check out her wristlet! Our little lady is still perfecting her sitting up like a big girl and showing off her cuteness...
I love meeting up at Mimi and Doc's house with all the cousins rolling, toddling, and running around...
because as we all know, Grandma's house is where cousins go to become best friends!

  1. Love the last sentence - Grandma's house is where cousins go to become best friends! It's going to be so much fun when Zoe & Max get a little bit older & stronger so they can keep up with Sadie & Kason :)
