California Dreaming...

The Clayton Crew was living hang 10 style on Halloween this year with our super cool surfer dude...

 We had to beware of our ferocious shark...

and were charmed by our gorgeous mermaid...

Zoe's costume was actually cuter in person than in these pictures because she liked the tulle so much she kept trying to put it in her mouth...therefore, she looks more like a puff ball than a mermaid! I must confess something, I won't be winning "Mother of the Year" anytime soon because I snuck Max out of the house so all three kids could go trick or treating at the church's Trunk or Treat. I did hang a sign on the stroller to help friendly hands stay away from Max...hmmm, I mean Jaws!

Zoe wasn't too keen on the idea at first, but Max and Kason loved every minute! Max doesn't get outdoors too often and he had the best time soaking up the fresh air...

 I always love going to Trunk or Treat because we meet up with friends...

 and ooh-ahh over all the adorable costumes of our kids. Kason always enjoys participating in the carnival the college students put on, but I didn't get any pictures this year because after walking around outside I had to get Max home...his prison break had lasted longer than it should have, and it was too much fun! I think my favorite part of the day was when Kason came home and dumped his entire bag of scrumptiousness on the table and with eyes nearly bulging out of his head picked out what candy to devour that night before bed...and us adults might have stolen a treat after the California munchkins were asleep! :)
