Discovery Learning with "G"...

Kason and I took a little alphabetical break throughout the summer, but started back up with the letter "G" more recently...and boy have we had great time! I started off with an oldie, but goodie...none other than an all time kid slimy, gooey favorite...
GAK! Kason was enthralled by the texture and slippery fun, that gak easily surpassed the fun of play dough for him. We then had a little insect adventure by reading about grasshoppers followed by an afternoon treat...
Of course we had to have a little gumball action so we worked on counting, graphing, and sequencing...
Kason even tried a gumball for the fist time and wasn't too impressed...he said he would rather have fruit snacks because the gumballs were too hard! Even though Kason is a boy, I couldn't leave out glitter, so we made a glitter globe! The picture isn't very good, but Kason had so much fun shaking up the penguin and watching glittery "snow" fall around him...
I think our most enjoyable activities were all about glow in the dark! We made a glow in the dark poster with special paint...
but the winning activity was a glow in the dark bath!
I could hardly get Kason out of the bath that night...I'm thinking he was the cleanest, most pruniest little man around! Between pre-school starting and our discovery learning around the house who knows what all adventurous learning Mr. Kason will get in to...stick around to find out!
