Well shiver me timbers...you may not have known that today is international talk like a pirate day! Kason found out when he woke up to a bountiful treasure trove...
First task was to dress up in his best pirate attire (notice his pirate scowl!)...
(which took a little scrambling because this momma thought he had a plain white shirt or striped one at that...apparently I got his wardrobe and Max's confused)...therefore he was more of a sporty pirate, but still a cute one to boot! After getting into costume, we read our pirate book (several times actually) and practiced our "pirate lingo" to get into our role for the day! Rather than swabbing the decks, this matey warmed up his thinking cap with a few pirate games before hunting down the treasure...
Kason took on the role of a pirate with ease as he laid out the plans for me hearties (Emma) on finding their long lost gold...
His first attempt was to batten down the hatches on top of the fort...
until further examination of the map led him to realize the gold was just under foot in the sand...
Ahhh, yes...they finally found their treasure of golden chocolate yumminess...
We might want to watch out, Kason made one fine pirate and used his strength fighting "mean, nasty pirates" (as he called them) all day! Before we know it he may be running the Jolly Roger up yonder on the pole of his fort!
