Life is better at the Lake...

This past weekend, we packed up the boys and headed to the lake to follow a few simple rules: sleep in, relax, enjoy great conversation, create memories, and most of all...

hang out on the water! All four of us had so much fun at Nana and Pop's house. Kason especially could hardly wait to head to the lake...

He was dressed up in his lake gear and ready to head out first thing that morning...

Of course getting on the boat was a different story...

while he has been on the boat a few times, this was the first time he seemed a little scared. But have no fear, he still managed to find gloves somewhere...that is right friends, look closely because Kason has on ski gloves! I've figured out that his form of playing dress up and getting into character is by going all out in baseball gear, golf gear, yard work gear, and now lake gear...man I love this kid! After a day of fun in the sun, we relaxed on the back porch overlooking the lake, grilled out, and celebrated birthdays with two of our favorite people: 

Aunt Michelle and DB...

You may disagree...but I'm not sure if life gets much better than this! 

Daniel grew up catching a few rays and many lake hours skiing, so I'm thinking his mini-me will most definitely follow in Daddy's footsteps...and not just in the looks category!
