Grins Galore...

Our adorable Mr. Max is a 15 month old, but adjusted from his original due date would have just turned one! Developmentally he is around a 5-6 month old...probably leaning more to the 5 month side. Max weighs in at 17 pounds now and is in the less than 3% on the charts in regard to weight and height. Our major excitement right now is that he has started to really grin a lot throughout the day...
at his toys or his left hand while he plays. He still won't smile at Daniel or I unless we work one out of him by tickling him and he won't smile while looking at us. As you can see above, he almost always looks to the right when he smiles...oh-well, it is still too cute! We are finally out of our play gym phase because now he just wants to roll around from side to side...
It is incredibly enjoyable to watch him roll around the living room floor chewing on toys! Max is obsessed with beating his left hand...on toys, the floor, you, basically anything he can! I call them "love pats" when he beats his hands on us because it is usually on our face or our shoulders...I like to think he is sending me his love that way :). Maxers also loves to sit up, but can't do it by himself and he gets worn out in his bumbo chair so I have his high chair in the living room. Thankfully it is on wheels because we just push him around the house with us so he can join in on all the fun. He is also finally staying up a little later so he can sit with us at the dinner table while we eat! He usually goes to bed between 6:30-7:00 and sleeps around 12-13 hours a night. Yes, that may seem refreshing for parents, but our Mr. Max wakes us up throughout the night with monitors beeping when he pops his oxygen out of his nose and he also cries a lot in his sleep. That is one reason why I heart nap time which comes twice a day for him...if only big brother would channel that same sleepy time!
You may be wondering where his precious glasses went...well little tooter here has decided he would rather chew on them or bang them against something rather than wear them! I need to get him one of those super cool bands that strap around his head to keep the glasses on...oh yes, he sure will be hip in those! It doesn't really matter anyway because when you see that grin light up his face all you really want to do is kiss those little cheeks anyway!
