Ride it Like You Stole it...

Or push it like you stole it for Max! That is right my friends, Max just received his very first bike today! We cannot say thanks enough to the Ambucs Group here in Lubbock for donating this super cool bike for our Mr. Max.
Our fabulous physical therapist, Monica Blevins, made arrangements with the Ambucs Group for the generous donation and the Clayton Crew couldn't be more excited because we sure do love us some bikes!
As you can see, Maxers didn't quite know what to think while he was being harnessed in and checking it out, but I think he enjoyed the ride...
He will need to grow into the bike just a bit more before we can utilize all its components. Eventually, we will strap down his hands to the handlebars and feet to the peddles so when he is being pushed his arms and legs will be exercised.
Since Max favors his left side and doesn't use his right side very much, we are all hoping that this bike will help move his right side so that his brain will begin to realize it is there to help out too! Max's PT was a little bit excited about trying it out with him this afternoon...
but did I mention how ecstatic our entire family is about Maxers joining in for all our bike fun around the house? When Kason got home, he couldn't stop beaming over Max's new bike. The first order of business was to strap him in so big brother could push him around...
The second order of business was to ride bikes right along side him...
Oh yes my friends, I definitely see a lot of mischief brewing between these two...
before you know it Kason will be pushing Max, popping wheelies, and riding it like they stole it around the neighborhood!

  1. How exciting! We often pray for Max as a family and Kate loves to look at the blog with me. Today she was so excited and ran to get her bike too. She wanted to know if her bike was bigger than Max's.
He is the cutest thing ever with his glasses!
