Kason was super excited to go see little brother today since he hasn't seen him in a week...
but Max had other plans! He wasn't quite sure what to think of his wiggly, boisterous brother who kept poking him due to excitement! Since Max has been in the PICU, we haven't been letting Kason come visit, but he kept asking about Max and was wondering when he was coming home. Therefore, we had a child life specialist meet Kason and visit with him about his brother being in the hospital. She gave him a puppy dog to bring to Max and walked him into his ICU room...boy was Kason so proud! As for Mr. Max...
today has been the first day I have seen any improvement as to him feeling better. He actually woke up for awhile this afternoon which he hasn't done in days. Hopefully the doctors will try lowering oxygen pressures tomorrow if he keeps making progress through the night and we can at least transition to the regular pediatric floor in the next few days. Then proud big bro can come visit him everyday until we can make a run for it and head home!
