Yesterday I Should Have...

been delivering Max because it was his due date! Instead, we celebrated Mr. Max turning 3 months old!!!
I joke with him all the time about how his Daddy and I are way to young to be having heart attacks or getting gray hair...so he better knock it off and get better! Some days he cooperates and other times I think he is just snickering on the inside at us saying, "Hey, isn't this what kids are for?" Well, after many late night calls from the hospital (yes, this is when our little peanut decides to show off for everyone), this is where we are at: Max started crashing after his last steroid treatment and had to go on the C-Pap...remember that scary looking get up on his face awhile ago.
Max was not too happy with that contraption, so he got mad enough that the doctors decided put him on another round of steroids (which will be his last because he can't have any more...there are too many serious side effects). Of course, in Max style, he is doing great again on the steroids. He was able to go back on the nasal canula and the nurses are even able to lower his pressure and oxygen level. Mr. Max is around 6 1/2 pounds and is in the general population...which means he is out of his private room!!! He even gets to spend a small part of his day sitting up in his boppy looking around. We are really enjoying seeing him wide-eyed and bushy tailed!

  1. Oh my goodness, he is too cute in his "surfer dude" outfit! I thought about it being his due date all day yesterday. It doesn't seem possible he's been with us for 3 months and should just now be arriving. It has been an emotional roller coaster, you and Daniel are so faithful, I appreciate you guys so much. We are praying fervently that this last round of steroids will do the trick. We are ready for you guys to be able to take this little angel home. Love, Nana and Pops
