I know all my blogger buddies out there only check the Clayton sight for one reason...of course that is to see how our little monkey is doing, but I cannot hold back my exuberance for the awesome night I had on Thursday. For my sister's 30th birthday surprise, my brother-in-law (Bryan) flew me to Frisco to show up on Shaye's front door steps with Taylor Swift concert tickets. We gave her 30 minutes to get ready while two of her other friends came over and we whisked her off to jam out to our favorite hippy chick.
We started the evening with a scrumptious dinner at Avanti in Dallas then rolled ourselves (did I mention the food was delicious?) over to the concert. I knew Bryan hooked us up with good tickets, but really had no clue how amazing our tickets would be until we continued walking down, and down, and down, and down until we reached the floor level and found our seats two rows from the front!!!
I must admit that among the few obsessions that I have, I am a Swift junkie...yes...I am the dork you laugh at when you are stopped at a red light and glance to the car next to you as you notice the driver belting at the top of her lungs and dancing as if she were the celebrity about to perform on stage! So, yeah, I have been pretty stoked about this concert and came in knowing what an adorable, creative musical artist she was, but had no clue what an AWESOME entertainer she would be!!!
I would pay to go see her again in a heart beat. I LOVED every minute of it and sang my heart out along with a variety of teeny-boppers, moms, all the single ladies, and my personal favorite...those precious dad's singing every word right beside their little girls. So to say I had a fun night with my sister and her friends would be an understatement because it was probably one of the most fun nights I have shared with her. We couldn't help but allow a little of Taylor's bubbly energy rub off on us while we sang to her rollercoaster of love from burning pictures of ex-boyfriends to picking out her white dress for her one true love!
I am SOOOO jealous! SO glad you had fun. I will definitely have to go see her sometime!
