Tummy Guy

Thankfully Kason is still on his Apnea Monitor because he hates sleeping on his back. He is a tummy guy for sure! Even though most older women will say that my generation survived sleeping on their tummies, the doctors say no because of sids. Therefore, I am working with Kason on enjoying laying on his back...which is work! He doesn't mind being swaddled and placed on his boppy while watching his mobile and listening to the ocean in the background, but once he gets sleepy...it is another story. Speaking of being awake, Kason will stay awake for up to two hours which has been so much fun! Of course it is a little more exhausting because it is harder to sneak in those naps, but definitely worth it to spend more time with him. The OT came to see him yesterday and said he is improving. I can't believe he is already holding his head well, focusing on objects, and even rolling over from his tummy to his back (which usually ends in hysterical crying)!

  1. He's doing so well!! It was good to see ya'll the other day. Kate is a tummy sleeper and has been since she was 8 weeks old. She won't sleep on her back at all!

  2. My boys hated sleeping on their backs as well, so needless to say, the "back to sleep" method did not last long at our house. I'm sure Kason will be on Cloud 9 the day he can rest on his tummy! What a sweet baby.
