Spring Break was a magical time for us. Our family was really excited about spending a week together, unplugging (literally as there was no internet or cell reception), and just relaxing together. Camping is a happy place for all 5 of us, especially Max. This year we chose to go to Garner State Park which is hands down the best Texas State Park we have been to. I highly recommend it! We had a great spot nestled along trees with open areas for the kids to run and play.
Garner is along the Guadalupe River, so we spent time each day splashing around, fishing, and hiking.
It was cold and Max wasn't thrilled about dipping his feet in!
We climbed Mount Baldy one morning. Daniel was a beast and carried Max on his back all the way up! This was the first experience of hiking that Max really enjoyed.
At the top placing their rock!
We enjoyed gorgeous views together...
Daniel and the kids went kayaking and paddle boarding one afternoon while Max, Mocha, and I realized along the bank.
I could have stayed there for days. It was so relaxing and stunning.
Uncle Kent and Aunt Debbie happened to be camping on our last night there, so we enjoyed their company. Kent took Kason on a really long bike ride which he thought was so cool.
We don't ever doing anything amazing while camping, but the time spent together is priceless. We stay up late, spend a lot of time reconnecting and talking, and always share in adventure together.
I think Zoe may only be there for the food though, especially those smores :).
