Christmas Day...

After the kids go to sleep on Christmas Eve, the little kid in me is bubbling to the surface as Daniel and I get to play Santa getting everything ready!
Of course the kid's favorite part is in the morning...
sleepy faces, crazy hair and all, as they race to the living room to see if they have been naughty or nice :).
Each year, Daniel and I are very intentional in the gifts we get our kids. I always love to document our yearly tradition of their three gifts. Their want gift is their Santa gift. Since Kason couldn't come up with any ideas, he just asked for a mystery gift. Well, that ended up being way too much fun for his daddy...haha!
Thanks to hitting up the toy store late at night on Black Friday, Kason ended up hitting the jack pot this year from Santa scoring a Hot Wheels race track for his love of cars...
and a remote control crane for his love of all things construction...
Our sweet Max is always a difficult one to buy for. He only has a select few toys that he plays with and most of his gifts usually go barely touched.
This year, we thought long and hard about his gifts and I'm excited to report that we rocked it! This is the first year Max was seriously excited...
look at that face! For the first time, he acted like he knew these were special gifts just for him. When another kid would try to come play with him, he would yell at them and push them away...haha...it was awesome! Santa brought him a couple of puzzles (something new he is working on with assistance), spinning gears on a car puzzle, a new cd for the car (this momma may go crazy if she has to listen to his old cd on more time!), and three sets of keys (his newest fixation). Now for little lady...
We had the hardest time finalizing the direction we wanted to go. Ultimately we decided on all things Frozen since she is still obsessed with her ElsaAnna...yes, it's all one word in her vocabulary :). She always wants to ride Kason's scooter but is too small, so she got her own along with a microphone/karaoke purse, and a new Frozen nightgown to twirl in (since she lives in her pajama dresses).
As you can see, Santa was a big hit this year! The kids usually only get one gift from Santa, but he apparently went a little nuts this year thanks to the freedom of buying without any requests and all those sales ;). Now, for the more practical gifts...their need gift, we went with shoes. Zoe has been a little jealous big brother has boots and Kason is always asking for more tennis shoes since he wears his out so quickly. He was surprised with Solomon's just like his daddy wears...
and yes friends, those are leopard boots on her feet...eeek! Their family gift that we can do all together were a couple of games for our family nights. Of course the kids were spoiled rotten with several gifts from other family and from each other...
Daniel got this awesome-sauce hammock that we are all giddy about!
We are definitely itching to go camping again! I don't normally post all the opening gift pictures, but I am too excited about the gift we gave Nana and Pops...
My sister found a lady in Frisco who makes these fun plates and has given one to my mom and done several items for her house. My mom even got me one for Christmas and I couldn't be more excited to have their precious little hands captured at one of my favorite times in our life. I mean, who wouldn't adore spending their Christmas morning with this happy fella?!?
Well, Christmas 2015 is in the books! The Clayton Crew is back home...
recovering from being spoiled and loving every minute playing with our new goodies. Thanks Nana and Pops for hosting a fabulous holiday!
