Camp Clayton...

good times at the lake with Nana & Pops! On Sunday after the wedding, Daniel and I headed to Colorado for an anniversary trip (post to follow) while our little munchkins went home with Nana and Pops to Bowie...
for their first annual grandparent camp! Not going to lie, this was really hard for me because we have only left them for small amounts of time (not a whole week) and we've always left them at our house...so having someone else drive them 4 hours or so and me not making sure they were settled was a bit of a tough one for me. I knew they were in good hands, but with Max's history anytime I leave there is always a bit of anxiety (even for Daniel). Of course like most families, the parents are the only ones worrying because the kids are already off having too much fun...
I mean, what could be better...a whole week being spoiled by grandparents! The kids (like usual) did amazing and had a blast getting to spend loads of free time outdoors...
taking turns playing together, giggling, and soaking up their Nana and Pops lovin'! Mr. Max even joined in on the fun...
and added to a little sibling rivalry when Zoe got jealous because he was taking over the wheel :)...
Kason was super excited to go to the lake because all he could talk about the week before was going fishing with Pops...
You know that boys was in heaven! Another activity that always captures our little rascals hearts is some good old fashion fun at the playground...
Thankfully there was an unusual bout of cooler weather last week so they were able to play outside until they wore Nana and Pops out :)...
One day Aunt Michelle and Thane came over along with Daniel's cousin Jenny and her girls Ava and Ella. Nana had craft time with everyone where all the cousins (including Zoe!) painted and made jewelry...
Kason and Zoe were so proud to show us their crafts!
I think my favorite update we received was Pops working with Kason on projects...
Our little man is seriously in love with carpentry and he is learning from the best already between both Dad and Pops. The cutest thing was Kason freaking out on the phone one night all excited about Pops letting him use a REAL saw (emphasis on the real part AND enter joyful delight here)!
These two guys made a cool box that Kason even got to paint and take home to use on his own work bench...
My heart is filled with joy to see all the memories my kids are making with their grandparents. Even though it is hard on my momma heart to leave my precious littles, it is so important for them to be influenced by and spend one-on-one time with their amazing Nana and Pops!
