It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No Wait...

is that Spiderman Kason? Why yes, friends it is! Last night Kason had his end of the year program at Superkids...
We love, love Superkids and his teacher Mrs. Danielle! This year the theme seemed so fitting for the school's name as all the kids dressed up as their favorite superheros and sang about cleaning up the city and taking down a few villains :).
Kason has never watched any superhero cartoons and only knew about Spiderman (I'm guessing from boys at school), so that is who he dressed up like...and yes, he didn't even have a shirt to coordinate so we had to go buy an entire costume for him. He was thrilled since we all know how much little man loves to dress up! After school, he changed and I let him watch a few old Spiderman cartoons to help him get into character. Unfortunately, it didn't quite do the trick...
he bawled the entire time on stage while his buddies sang and flew around to save the day! At least he was an adorable, weeping Spiderman right?
When he was finished, Daniel and I celebrated with him that he at least tried and got on stage :). *Sigh* hopefully one day he will bust out of his shell and share with the world his crazy antics when he thinks no one is watching...
like him spinning his web! Daniel and I snuck Max and Zoe in, but sat in the balcony so Max would be protected...
Kason was thrilled (although this pic might beg to differ) that we were all there to support him. We snuck into the gym for a quick refreshment before we left and Max was exposed...
Isn't this the cutest program ever? Our directors, Wendy Killough and Cassie Bundy did a fabulous job on everything! They even played superhero music as the kids walked into the auditorium and created a city with Superkids saving the day...
Have no fear, if you ever need rescuing around the Clayton Casa you are in good hands with our little Spiderman...
now in public, that may be another question all together! You may need to call on one of his more outgoing buddies like Batman or Superman. But for now, Spiderman has retired his suit for the evening...
in hopes to return by spinning his web and fighting off his nemesis!

  1. Looks like it was a fun night! I know you don't like pictures of yourself, but that is a great picture of you & Kason - frame worthy!
