The Letter F...

was a whole lot of FUN! Kason and Addy kicked off learning about the letter F by doing a little fishing in the tub!
They had a blast and just look at their concentration...
I'm talkin'...it was serious business! Their face would light up when they finally would reel a big one in...
We also talked a lot about feeders because Kason is obsessed with Mimi and Doc's squirrel feeder and is quite upset that we don't have one of our own, so we improvised with bird feeders instead...
These little owls loved getting messy making the classic peanut butter pine cone bird seed feeder!
One of my favorite activities was teaching about water freezing to ice. One night Kason picked out a few toys and we pitched them in a container full of water and then talked about how the freezer in our refrigerator works. The next day, we headed outside with our block of frozen water to bust out the toys!
It took a little hard work, determination, and improvising of tools...
until Kason realized that what he really needed was a golf club to get the job done...therefore, Addy and I backed far away before we let him have a go at that one! While learning about the letter F, these two munchkins became pros at playing "I Spy" finding fire trucks and flags around town. Kason was especially excited to get dad in on all the alphabet fun by reading about frogs...which Kason is now a pro at frog noises :)....and by helping dad plant this momma new flowers in our front yard. Next stop on our alphabet train...the letter G...here we come!
