Our Little Love Bug...

Mr. Max is slowly, but surely growing and getting better little by little. Not a day goes by where Daniel and I don't thank God for our precious addition to this family...
even through the uncertainty of his life and the struggles that we have endured as a family through this situation...we are blessed with the joy he brings to the Clayton Crew. All three of us can't wait until Max can join us in our family fun instead of hanging out on the sidelines...
Until then, we are going to keep working with our little love bug! The Occupational Therapist has Max wearing a spiffy red brace on his right hand...
and he doesn't quite know what think...
Max actually doesn't mind wearing it, which is a good thing because he has to wear it most of the day. Due to his brain hemorrhage on the left side of his brain, we have been told that he will most likely have cerebral palsy on his right side. While there is movement there, we have noticed that he doesn't actually use his right arm or hand unless you force him. His right hand stays clenched most of the time, so the brace has two purposes: 1. to help open up his right hand and 2. for his brain to remember he has a right side. The brace works well for him because he has started to not only look at his right hand, but will try to suck on the brace!
