Mr. Max is hovering around the 5 pound mark right now. We can't be for sure his exact weight because he is retaining a little fluid, but hey...we are at the 5 pound mark!!!
The doctor started Max on steroids yesterday...no not the kind that are going to beef him up to the inner gladiator that I'm trying to channel! Rather, these steroids will give him a little boost to help him hopefully get off the ventilator.
The prayer is that when he gets off the ventilator (along with the steroids) and on a high flow nasal canula, that he will have no trouble...be able to breathe fine and not have to get back on the ventilator. I will keep you posted as to how they are working and if we get to see that adorable face again without all that tape...maybe this weekend!
