February 2019...

February was pretty low key for us. We were home all month and the kids played sports (posts to follow on track and basketball). Zoe started piano lessons this month and loved it! Our neighbor Rebekah is her teacher and she is so, so good with kids.

Since our team was calm around the house, I had a few sweet moments with just Max which I adore.

 Daniel and I celebrated Valentine's Day with our little sweethearts.

 Daniel made them heart pancakes!

 I of course made them a heart themed lunch!

The weather is always pretty in Austin during the month of February. We got out and hiked almost every Sunday morning together, trying to find new trails. Hiking is one of our favorite family activities!

 In case you ever wondered, Max pretty much hates hiking. I'm fairly certain he is cussing me out in his own version of sign language, ha! I'm still hoping one day, he will be more excited to enjoy the beauty of creation and breath the fresh air with us.

Max and Mocha pretty much drive each other crazy. This was the first moment where Max smiled around Mocha, didn't hit him or yell at him...so that was a win!

 Daniel finished up the railing on one of our decks, so we put the kids to work!

 Even though it's almost August, I remember this day with Kason...

I was taking him to a friend's house and we had the best conversation yet again. He is at this precious age where he is wondering and curious, but not afraid to ask. We have had several open conversations this school year while in the car and it has been one of my favorite years with him. I love who God is molding him to be and I'm honored to be a mentor in his life.
