We headed to Bowie a day early to surprise everyone since they weren't expecting us until after lunch on Christmas day. It was such a fun surprise seeing their expressions when the kids rang the doorbell!! Like mentioned previously, I was not on my momma A+ game, so I didn't even really take pictures during our trip (thankfully Pops did!). The few days were extremely relaxing until everyone got sick due to us :(. These cousins were crazy excited to spend a few days together!
We did get to Nana and Pop's house in time for Christmas cookie decorating and baking...
and our annual Christmas Eve pajama gift...
After reading The Night Before Christmas, these Christmas cuties went to bed so Santa could come visit!
Zoe asked for a smart watch like Kason has (takes pics, tells time, and has games)...
while Kason asked for a big kid scooter (since his broke a year ago)...
and of course Max is always a conundrum, so Santa brought him a few Mickey surprises!
Christmas morning was fun for all...it was calm opening gifts. We went with a homemade theme this year for the grandmas...
but splurged on these hilarious mugs for Pops!
Daniel surprised Kason with a mega nerf gun and I think he liked it just a little bit :)...
He also surprised the kids with new bows & arrows as their family gift..
which they LOVED! Seriously friends, this was probably one of the most chill, relaxing Christmas' ever...
we all gloriously lazed around...
We did finally get the kids dressed up for dinner...
but most of their day was spent playing with new toys and cousins.
So thankful for Daniel's family. What a blessing to have a place of respite to retreat to and enjoy time in conversation with family. My only wish is that I had taken more pictures! Next year I'll be back on my game :).
